Release Delay

Processing the newest data for each release is a massive task. In order to assure the accuracy of the metrics for the Q3-2021 dataset, we are delaying the release of new data until March 1, 2022.

Since the release of data and other features is an integrated process, this will delay the entire release until March 1, 2022.

Q3-2021 dataset

This release will include new metrics from quarter 3 of 2021.

When we release a new set of data into Marketscape, we not only populate every page and table with the latest available Medicare metrics, we also update the following custom features: 

• Sales Spotlight content for physicians or hospitals is updated, including your "My Agency" insights. 
• Any saved presentation is also updated to include the latest metrics.

Enhancement - Select which destination to compare in Sales Spotlight

On the Physician and Facility Analyze pages under the Sales Spotlight tab, we have added a new dropdown titled “Compare To” where you can select and compare your agency to one of the Top Destinations shown for that referral source.  

Although the image above is from Sales Spotlight on a Physician Analyze page, this new feature is available for hospital Analyze pages.

As a sales rep, this feature will allow you to choose which of the top home health destinations will be compared to your chosen "My Agency."  This allows you to customize your conversation about your performance and how you rank against the chosen top destination.

Most importantly, you can compare your agency, one-by-one, against all of the listed top competitors to choose the metrics that best support your conversation with a potential referral source.

By default, each insight will reflect the “best story” of your agency’s relationship with the source provider. Once you select a top destination to compare your agency to, it will reflect a 1:1 comparison against all insights.

New Table – CMS Payer Mix

On the Physician and Facility Analyze pages under the Patient Population tab, we have added a new table titled “CMS Payer Mix”. This table will show the percentage of claims and distinct patient counts for the following CMS payers: 

•  Medicare FFS 
• Medicare Advantage 
• Medicaid 

The date for this dataset can be found in the table header. 

You can also toggle to a pie chart view.

  As a sales rep this table will help you understand the general payer mix of potential referral sources to better determine how your agency can partner with them. 

Counts displayed are based on the most recent data available for 100% of FFS, MA, and Medicaid provided by CMS. Distinct patient counts are based on the FFS, MA, and Medicaid claims submitted by the NPI and therefore the same patient may be included in multiple payer groups during the same time period. *Hospice provider type not available*

Enhancement – Conversation Starters & My Agency are now sticky! 

On the Physician and Facility Sales Spotlight tab when you toggle on Conversation Starters it will become your default and automatically be shown when viewing any Sales Spotlight page. Simply toggle back off to remove. 

The same will apply when you make a selection to the “My Agency” drop down menu. As a sales rep, this will help you save your preferred view as you navigate to new pages. 

New Metric - Facility Specific Readmission Rate

When viewing a Skilled Nursing Facility provider type, on the Analyze page under the Sources tab, we have added a column titled “Facility Specific Readmission Rate” on the Hospital & Agency Sources table – inpatient drop down only.

As a sales rep, knowing the readmission rate for a specific facility on sources will help you understand where they may be struggling. This can also help you understand who may have more referral potential through their need to lower readmission rate.

This is defined as the percentage of patients discharged from the listed hospital who were admitted to the selected SNF and subsequently readmitted to a hospital within 30 days of the first inpatient discharge; based on a two-year reporting period, shifted back 30 days.

Enhancement – Location Filter in Search

In Marketscape Mobile we have added a Location Filter in Search. You can search by state, county, city, or ZIP code to better target your territory or locations you are most interested in.

Location filtering will also be remembered in your recent search to quickly apply the same result for ease of use.
