This release will include new metrics from quarter 4 of 2021.
When we release a new set of data into Marketscape, we not only populate every page and table with the latest available Medicare metrics, but we also update the following custom features:
- Sales Spotlight content for physicians or hospitals is updated, including your "My Agency" insights.
- Any saved presentation is also updated to include the latest metrics.
For more information see, How to Get the Most out of Every New Data Release.
New Table – MA SNF Destinations
On the Hospital and Agencies Analyze page under the Destinations tab, a new table named “MA SNF Destinations” has been added.
As a user this will help you understand referral patterns and how they differ between FFS and MA at the facility level. You can see if each Destination is getting a fair mix of patients or if you are getting an inflated number of MA patients. You can also better understand what the payer mix of patients is from a hospital using SNF services.
The data displayed is the most recent complete data available from CMS.
Clicking on the "+" to the left of the SNF's name will open a sub-table that reveals the plan breakdown for the SNF's patients.
New Saved View– Underutilizing (Targeting Strategy)
On the Physicians Explore page we have added a new option to the “Select Saved Views” drop down titled “Underutilizing (Targeting Strategy)”.
As a user this will help you identify referral sources who are not utilizing SNF services at or above the state average so you can better target for education.
New Table – MA Physician Sources
On a SNF Analyze page under the Sources tab, we have added a new table titled “MA Physician Sources”.
As a user, this will help you understand referral patterns and how they differ between FFS and MA at the provider level. This will enable you to speak to the physician about their patient breakdown between payers and create a mix that is more beneficial to your organization. Also, you can view your top sources and understand if you are receiving the patients you want based on FFS versus MA, and by plan.
Clicking on the "+" to the left of the physician's name will open a sub-table that reveals the plan breakdown for the physician's patients.
Removal – Patient Location ZIP code dropdown
Due to regulatory requirements by CMS, we can no longer support patient location ZIP codes. This impacts our “Patient Location” graph and table located on Physician and Facilities Analyze pages under the Patient Populations tab. Users will be able to access the dropdown by County.
Enhancement - Select which destination to compare in Sales Spotlight
When viewing the Physician and Hospital Top Metrics Sales Spotlight, we have added a dropdown under Agency Relationship titled “Compare To”. This view will default to displaying the “Best Story”. You can adjust this selection to compare your agency to Top Destinations, County Average, or State Average.
As a user this will allow you to choose who your agency is being compared to and customize your conversation with referral sources.
